Originally from Paris, Pierre Noizet came to the United States in 1997 to play college golf and later earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he was a two-time Golf Team MVP.
In 2005, he successfully passed the PGA Player Ability Test (PAT), qualifying him to pursue a career as a PGA teaching professional. The following year, Pierre began collaborating with world-renowned putting researcher Marius Filmalter and the SAM PuttLab team at the Hank Haney Golf Ranch. Together, they became the first to mathematically define the components of an elite putting stroke, building what became the most comprehensive database of PGA Tour putting patterns ever assembled.
Their groundbreaking research on the yips was published in 2006, and in 2009 GOLF Magazine named Marius “Innovator of the Year.” In 2011, Pierre was featured in the magazine’s cover story on the future of putting.
In 2013, Pierre opened The Putting Château in Arlington, Virginia, where he has continued to help golfers of all levels improve their performance through a data-driven, tour-tested approach to putting.
In 2025, Pierre expanded his teaching facility by installing a dedicated launch-monitor and short-game training area in his backyard studio—allowing him to bring the same level of precision, technology, and biomechanics he applies to putting into every aspect of the short game. He is excited to use this new space to help golfers master scoring skills from 125 yards and in.
